Access Vacation Group is a wholly owned mark of EMR Vacation Rentals. EMR is a licensed travel agent with the Province of British Columbia with license number 31068. What does that mean exactly? The license that is issued to us allows for the regulation of our industry and protects the guest from fraud or issues relating to the business practices of the Agency used to book the accommodation or travel plans. When using an Agency that is licensed with Consumer Protection BC you are provided the backing of an industry regulator that monitors and enforces fair business practices with you, the guest or the owner, in mind. There is also the added security of the Travel Assurance Fund. This is a fund collected by Consumer Protection BC that can be used to reimburse owners and guests in the event of business interruption or calamity. Access Vacation Group is an agent representing private homeowners who wish to provide their properties to foreign and domestic travellers for both the short and long term. We, as the agent, provide the guest with accommodation options and then once the guest has chosen the property that works best for them, provide a contract that secures the booking with the property owner. Our owners are contractually bound in order to allow us to provide you the very best possible service.
We have several different types of accommodation services. Our exclusive level of accommodation are properties where we control every aspect of the location, which includes the calendar, the price, the cleaning, greeting and additional services. Our full service level is similar to the exclusive level, except that the homeowner does not allow us control of the calendar and may book dates outside of our clientele. The third level is our Standard Listing Service where we provide the marketing and contractual agreements and the homeowner looks after the guest at their location. Some of our web sites also feature Rentals by Owner where the Owners simply list their rentals for a fee and you, the guest, would contact them directly.
